RockShell wall system: Minimal energy loss. Optimal construction process
The RockShell wall system is a newly developed construction system for the supporting external walls of buildings. The RockShell wall system is an unique and innovative modular system that meets the requirements of the future for minimal energy loss and efficient construction processes.
The RockShell wall system combines the requirements for sustainable lightweight construction with optimal energy performance, rational installation processes, technical support and end user benefits. In other words: The RockShell wall system is the ideal all-in-one construction system.
The RockShell wall system
The RockShell wall system is the core of the total outer wall. A service wall is installed inside of RockShell and facing material is installed on the outside.

The RockShell wall system is an unique combination of I-shaped steel profiles, heavy Rockwool insulation and an inner OSB-board. This unique combination results in an outer wall with few components and a slim solution which is passive house certified.
The modular design also decreases the risk of making mistakes on the building site. For all interfaces between the RockShell wall system and other building solutions a standard detail with minimal thermal bridges is proposed. Due to the modularity of the system, very few adjustments are needed between different house designs. As a result, details could be used for different house designs.
The system consists of very few building parts, which basically can be assembled with a power drill on site. The learning curve for the RockShell installers is therefore very fast compared to other building solutions. This also decreases the risk of making mistakes.
The RockShell solution is delivered on site to fit with the specific house design and no adjustments are needed. Since no adjustments or modifications are needed on site, the time spent on modifications and material waste is minimal.
